This system is Windows PC based, can use existing hardware or new / special computers, and can support anywhere from 1 to 16 cameras - up to
4 cameras per card, up to 4 cards per system. The system works with most cameras, colour or monochrome, can control many PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) cameras, and users can watch either live or previously recorded video remotely from any Windows PC. The software can do motion detection, scheduled or 24 hour recording, print or export still images and video clips, and even sound an audible alarm or close an alarm circuit if motion is detected during specified intervals. The software is easy to use, and can be configured to run unmonitored - it will delete the oldest recordings when disk space runs low, and perform scheduled reboots for long term stable operation. |

Basic requirements are Windows 2000/XP/Vista (XP recommended), 1.6ghz Processor for up to four cameras, 2.6ghz for 16 cameras, and plenty of HDD space. 1 Free PCI slot per 4 cameras. Although onboard video usually works, not all chipsets are supported, and AGP or PCIe video cards from nVidia or ATI always work. System has been tested successfully with up to 3tb of online storage.
